Privacy Notice

This notice explains how IMD Insurance Agency ("we," "us"), a licensed commercial insurance agency, handles the information of the trucking companies and people we quote and serve, including the mobile numbers of people who opt in to our text messages. We use the Skarb platform (Skarb Group LLC) to keep our records and to send calls, emails, and texts; Skarb's own Privacy Policy applies to the platform and is incorporated here.
Information we collect
- Contact and business details — your name, company, USDOT/MC number, phone number, email, and mailing address, which you give us or which appear in public FMCSA records.
- Insurance information — drivers, vehicles, operations, coverage history, loss runs, and documents needed to quote and service your policies.
- Consent and signature records — the exact consent text you accepted, with the date, time, IP address, and browser, or the recorded call on which you gave consent.
- Message history — the texts, emails, and call notes exchanged with you.
Text messaging (SMS/MMS)
If you opt in, we send one-to-one text messages about your quote, policy servicing, certificates, renewals, requested documents, and appointment or callback reminders. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories above exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with, sold to, or used by any third party, affiliate, or lead generator. Your mobile number is used only by IMD Insurance Agency to communicate with you about your own insurance business.

How we use and share information
- To quote, place, service, and renew your insurance, and to communicate with you about it.
- With insurance carriers, managing general agents, and underwriters, when you authorize us to request quotes or service a policy on your behalf.
- With service providers acting on our behalf — the Skarb platform and its message-delivery provider (Twilio), email, and document services — which receive only what is needed and may not use it for their own purposes.
- When the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and your choices
We keep records while you are a prospect or client and as insurance regulations require. Consent and opt-out records are kept as compliance evidence.
