Terms of Service
Effective October 14, 2026 · Skarb Group LLC (DBA SKARB) · skarbcrm.com
Skarb is built and operated by Skarb Group LLC, doing business as SKARB ("Skarb," "we," "us"). These Terms govern use of the Skarb platform at skarbcrm.com, including the lead-management CRM, the client portal, the Skarb-hosted quote, opt-in, certificate and document pages, and any calls, emails, or text messages sent through it. By using Skarb, or by receiving a call, email, or text from an agency that uses Skarb, you agree to these Terms. Questions: hello@skarbcrm.com.
What Skarb is
Skarb is a software platform that licensed commercial insurance agencies use to run their own books of business: identifying prospects from public carrier records, tracking policies and renewals, issuing certificates of insurance, collecting applications and documents, and communicating with their own prospects and clients by phone, email, and text. Each agency is responsible for its own communications. Skarb is not a marketing platform for hire and does not send communications on behalf of unrelated third parties.
Calls, email, and text messaging
If you are a prospect or client of an agency that uses Skarb, that agency may contact you by phone, email, or SMS/MMS text message about insurance quotes, policy servicing, certificates of insurance, renewals, documents, and related account matters, using a number or address you provided or that you used to contact the agency.
- Consent to be texted is given by checking the consent box on the agency's quote page or web opt-in form, verbally on a recorded call, in writing, or by texting the agency first. Consent is never a condition of purchasing any insurance product or service.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any text at any time to opt out; reply HELP for help. You may also opt out by telling the agency or by emailing hello@skarbcrm.com.
- Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with, sold to, or used by any third party or affiliate for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
- Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
The full program terms are in the Mobile Messaging Terms. Each agency's own program page is at skarbcrm.com/sms/<agency>/terms.
Agency accounts and acceptable use
Agencies that hold a Skarb account are responsible for the accuracy of the information they enter and for every communication they send through Skarb. An agency may not use Skarb to:
- call or text anyone who has not given the consent required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, state telemarketing laws, or any applicable law;
- send unsolicited bulk messages, or continue texting a number that replied STOP;
- misrepresent who is contacting a recipient, or send content prohibited by the carriers (including SHAFT content: sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco, and illegal substances);
- share or sell mobile numbers or consent records to any third party;
- interfere with the platform or access data of another agency.
Skarb records consent, opt-out, and message history for each agency, blocks outbound texts to numbers without a consent record or that have opted out, and may suspend an account that violates these Terms.
No guarantee of coverage or pricing
Communications, quotes, and estimates sent through Skarb are informational and do not bind coverage. Insurance coverage is only bound in writing by the agency or the applicable carrier. Certificates of insurance issued through Skarb reflect coverage in force at the time of issuance and are subject to the terms of the actual policy.
Electronic records and signatures
Where a Skarb-hosted page asks for an electronic signature or consent, you agree that electronic records and signatures have the same effect as paper ones (E-SIGN Act). A copy of what you signed, with the date, time, and IP address, is kept by the agency.
Data and privacy
Our collection and use of information, including SMS opt-in data, is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Skarb is provided "as is." Public carrier data comes from government sources and may be incomplete or out of date. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skarb Group LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, and its total liability to an agency is limited to the fees that agency paid Skarb in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
If these Terms change materially, the effective date above will be updated and active accounts will be notified in-app or by email.
